Refreshing Menu Commands not working?

Trying to setup some macros using menu commands from Cubase.

I add a menu command and choose “select menu command”
MGP goes to the “Refreshing the Menu Command List” screen, but exits with no Menu Commands in the list.

I’ve tried on 2 different iPads using 1.6.16 and my server is v5.3.4.

Any suggestions?

That means that you don’t have permissions for Apple Script support set for MetaServer on our Mac. Can you please send me this screenshot from your setup?

OK, that’s the correct way. Now we need the following info:

  • do menu commands are correctly refreshed for other applications?
  • are you in Cubase profile or using Desktop?

Ok, so I discovered it’s only NOT working when I’m trying to edit my Omnispace. If I export that grid to a normal cubase workspace, edit it, and re-import it into my Omnispace, it remembers the menu commands and works fine.

But I still cannot edit menu commands in the Omnispace.

Easy workaround for now. But possibly a bug a to look into? Or maybe the properties of the Omnispace make it incapable of reading the menu commands?

You are right - currently you can’t refresh the menu commands in OmniSpace - the current workaround is to create a button in the profile for your selected application and then copy/paste it to the OmniSpace grid. We are thinking how to streamline this - but since OmniSpace can trigger various applications and the menu command system is based on the name of the application that is in focus on the computer - we would need to implement some extensive rework. Added this as FR though. thanks for the input!
