Can we please have Nuendo add to Like Cubase!

I’ve recently switched from Cubase to Nuendo , lots of the functions of programmed still work fine. So you don’t have to change every function to a menu command. So for the most part this is pretty seamless switching between the two apps but not everything works.

You have to switch out some of cubase native functions to using and use menu command function for Nuendo and locating the menu inside of Nuendo . which does work most of the time but isn’t as good as having it supported I wouldn’t imagine there as much that needs changing as 95% is the same .

also in another post, the menu command function in MG sometime crashes

Thx

Andy

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback — and great to hear the transition from Cubase to Nuendo has been mostly smooth!

You’re absolutely right — most Cubase functions translate well to Nuendo, since the two share the same core engine. However, as you’ve noticed, some differences do appear when it comes to Menu Command actions.

Just to clarify — Menu Commands in MetaGrid Pro are based on macOS accessibility, which makes them application-specific. This means that a Menu Command recorded for Cubase won’t always trigger correctly in Nuendo, even if the menu looks identical.

That said, we’ve recently added a search feature in the Menu Command setup screen, which should make it much easier to locate and reassign the correct Nuendo menu items directly within MetaGrid Pro.

You’re also correct that there’s a substantial difference in the command sets between Cubase and Nuendo. While our Cubase grids generally work well with Nuendo, the command integration layer is Cubase-specific, so certain actions or menu paths may differ or not respond as expected in Nuendo.

We don’t currently offer dedicated Nuendo-specific integration out of the box, but your feedback helps us understand where users are seeing these differences — and it’s something we’re watching closely for future updates.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your findings!

Okay, thank you, if I can get the menu commands to work and then up-and-coming release that’s fine at least I have a work around.

Thx Andy
