I just upgraded from Cubase 13 to 14, and now I can’t get Metagrid to work. It works great in 13. But in 14, Cubase is just unresponsive to any command sent from Metagrid. All midi connections seem to be the same and correct.
Just download the last metagrid server……
Yes - I’ve got latest version of everything installed but thanks for the suggestion.
I would do a test. Open MGP, connect to the server. Make sure Cubase 14 is open, then create a new Profile (you should see Cubase 14 as active or in focus when you do this.) If it is not showing in the New profile window, then presume it is a connection problem.
If you can see it make the profile, then use the default Workspace, create a grid with a button to do something in Cubase 14 and see if it works.
(What might be happening is the Cubase 13 Profile is still working with Cubase 13. You might have to transfer the Workspace to your (a) new Cubase 14 profile.)
Just a thought, not sure what you have tried to know if the above is any use at all
my old profiles from C13 and work with C14 , but not Mac Automation / Menu Commands which seem to be still set to (Cubase 13)
Plus 1 here. It seems as though text commands and midi works fine, but the Apple Menu Commands are not working.
I’m getting the same.
Some of the C14 commands are not available as of now for example to add new Drum Track that was introduced in C14.
Guys - since Cubase 14 is treated by MacOS as an entirely new app not associated with Cubase 13 so the assigned menu command actions will not work for C14. You need to reassign them again - I know it is a pain but we can’t help this I am afraid.
This makes sense. However, I have attempted to create a new grid from scratch and menu commands simply do not work in cubase 14. I am forced to use key commands which isn’t possible for everything. I haven’t been able to get the metaserver to update properly so I’m thinking maybe that is the issue.
I’m still having the same problem with C14, everything is working except Menu command , I have two iPads one seems to still be searching for C13 the other does see C14 but Menu Commands still not working as expected. How do we get Metagrid to look at current version C§14 not old version C13 which is deleted
I managed to get most menu commands working , the only way I could do this was delete the MGP App completely from my iPad re-download and then restore my latest backup. This hasn’t fixed all menu commands, but most of them now work with C14 . I think some of my problem was that I had C13 before. When I then selected when commands it wasn’t actually selecting the correct ones it was selecting the old C 13 ones.
My main problem with Menu commands is the transport, stop start options
