Metagrid 1.6.10 bug — always switching back to one Grid

Hello!

After the latest update (Metagrid 1.6.10), the app started working incorrectly. I use several Grids in my workflow, but now, no matter which one I select, Metagrid always switches back to the same Grid on its own, without my consent.

I really appreciate your work and everything you do for us, the users. However, I kindly ask you to fix these bugs as soon as possible, because in the current state it is almost impossible to work properly.

My setup:

  • iPad Air 5 (iOS 18.6.2)

  • iPad 10 (iOS 18.6.2)

  • MacBook Pro M3 Pro (Sonoma 14.7.4)

  • MetaServer 5.2.2

  • Cubase 14 Pro

Thank you!

Try disabling Dynamic Focus Tracking in Settings/Automation & Scripting. I had random grids popping up all over the place too.

@SVMIR Can you test it in MGP 1.6.11 that was just released.

Hello! Thank you for the quick update . I installed MGP 1.6.11 and tested it. The issue with Grid switching has indeed been fixed :folded_hands:. But I’ve noticed some new nuances:

  1. I have a main Grid, and it’s no longer possible to open the editing mode inside it. Previously, I could swipe from the edge of the screen to access the menu. Now this gesture doesn’t work. To edit the main Grid, I first have to switch to another Grid, then open Editing, and only after that select the main Grid from the list.

  2. The most important thing for me is the button shape. Previously, buttons were square, but now they have rounded corners. I’ve always been used to square buttons , it was much easier for me to tap them accurately. With rounded buttons it’s become uncomfortable to work.

I kindly ask you to bring back the option to use square buttons :folded_hands:.

Thank you.

I understand that ‘Hot corners’ (swiping from the edge of the screen) has bee modified in this update - it was not disabling before. Maybe check in settings under ‘Dashboard Layout’. You can enable the ‘Edit’ button in your Sidebar configuration - also found in settings.

This function is enabled. Interestingly, it works in other grids, but not in the main grid.
