MetaGrid Pro 1.7.5 Hot Fix Released

MetaGrid Pro 1.7.5 is now available for iPadOS and Mac Catalyst.

This urgent hot fix restores the established production context bar and resolves several recovery problems that could leave MetaGrid Pro unresponsive or disconnected after inactivity, connection changes, a rapid relaunch, or Mac sleep and lock transitions.

Important: MetaGrid Pro 1.7.5 requires MetaServer Mac 6.1.4 or MetaServer Windows 6.0.4.

Fixed

  • Restored the established production context bar and cell-selection behavior.
  • Fixed an inactivity overlay that could remain above the connection screen, leaving MetaGrid Pro dimmed and unresponsive.
  • Fixed tap handling after inactivity, connection changes, and transition to the radar or connection screen.

Improved

  • Improved USB recovery after rapidly quitting and relaunching MetaGrid Pro without disconnecting the cable.
  • Added tap-driven recovery when a Mac wake notification is missed.
  • Improved recovery when the connected Mac is sleeping or displaying the Lock Screen.
  • A connected first tap can wake the Mac or dismiss the screen saver; a following tap exposes the dashboard or connection radar when required.
  • When MetaGrid Pro is disconnected, the first tap dismisses the overlay and exposes the connection interface immediately.

This update also includes all features, improvements, and fixes introduced in the previous production release.

Thank you for the Hot Fix. Unfortunately, 1.7.5 is causing crashes when I try to edit a button after moving it to a different location. The steps Iā€™m taking are:

  1. Select and merge a handful of grids, then Add a Button
  2. Move the button to a different location
  3. Select the button and try to edit it
  4. Crash?

The crash when editing a button after moving it has been fixed in MetaGrid Pro 1.7.6, which is now available as the production release for iOS/iPadOS and Mac Catalyst.
