How to remove/delete Old Connections in MetaGrid Pro (Mac version)

1. Summary/Title
How to remove/delete old WiFi connections in MetaGrid Pro (Mac version)

2. Steps to Reproduce

  • Open MetaGrid Pro on Mac.
  • Click Add Computer to add a new WiFi connection (which I now want to remove).
  • Add another computer using UDP (which I want to keep).

3. Expected Result

  • On the iPad version, users can swipe and delete a connection.
  • A similar option should be available on Mac to remove outdated or non-working connections.

4. Actual Result

  • On Mac, there is no option to right-click or remove old connections.
  • The WiFi connections remain even if they are no longer valid.
  • No option in MetaServer settings to clear old computers.

5. Screenshots or Video (if applicable)
(See attached screenshot showing unavailable connections in MetaGrid Pro on Mac.)

6. Device Information

  • Operating System (OS version): Mac Sonoma 14.7.3
  • MetaGrid Pro version: 165 (28573)
  • Device Model (e.g., iPad, Mac): Mac Studio
  • Affected software version (e.g., Cubase 14): N/A

7. Additional Notes

  • How can I manually remove old/unavailable WiFi connections from MetaGrid Pro on Mac?
  • If there is no built-in option, is there a configuration file where stored connections are saved?

Can you check if you can swipe left - there should be the delete button.

Ah, I see! Thanks for the suggestion about swiping left—but this assumes that everyone is using a Magic Trackpad (or a Magic Mouse with gestures enabled).

:bulb: Issue:

  • I’m using a regular mouse, and I’m not sure how to trigger the swipe action without a trackpad.
  • When I connected a Magic Trackpad from another computer, I was able to see the expected “Remove” option when swiping left.
  • So I can confirm this works when using Apple’s Magic Trackpad or Magic Mouse.

:pushpin: Question:
Since I only have one Magic Trackpad, is there any other way to trigger the same swipe action?

  • Can this be done via a menu option or right-click?
  • Is there a keyboard shortcut that replicates the swipe gesture? e.g shift + Scroll
  • Could the developers add a more accessible way to remove connections (for users without a trackpad)?

Would love to know if there’s a workaround! Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. The screen is scheduled for refactoring in MGP 1.7 - no more swiping :-).
