Bug: Text action reverting to previous version in Metagrid 1.6.13

1. Summary/Title
When I change the text inside a Text Action contained in a multi action macro in an already existing button most of the times the text will revert to the previous version after closing the button edit window

2. Steps to Reproduce
change the text inside a Text Action contained in a multi action macro in a pre-existing button
check that the new text that you entered is correct
close the button edit window

3. Expected Result
I expect the button to send the new text I just entered

4. Actual Result
The text sent by the button is no more the one you just typed but what was present before

6. Device Information

  • Operating System (OS version): Mac Os Sonoma 14.7.2
  • MetaGrid Pro version: 1.6.13
  • Device Model (e.g., iPad, Mac): iPad 9th generation

7. Additional Notes

This never happened to me in previous Metagrid version and I’ve created hundreds of button that send text

Just a little bump, I would like to know from support that they have seen this

I experienced this too a while back with Text Action. MGP doesn’t seem to handle overwriting existing macros that well TBH.

I think the issue may be the way how you confirm entering the text in iOS keyboard. When you press Return key, the change is saved. If you dismiss the keyboard, the change may not be saved. Can you please verify. And if the issue persists - please include the macro for testing.

I’m pretty sure I pressed Return to confirm, but I will check again, and if the problem persist, send the macro for testing, thanks
