Last week i Made a Test subcription(7days and Afterwards normal monthly payment)
I Loved Metagrid and Yesterday i Made a Lifetime license for 99,99euro.
But today Apple took another
5,99euro!
I am sorry but i am pissed.
Thought the Lifetime subcription deletes the normal subscription automatcly…
I’m curious about this, I’m considering the lifetime subscription as well.
I got the paid Metagrid, the original version, for €32,99 in 2021. Then it changed to Metagrid Pro and I paid another €29,99.
Now if I want all the options for the app I paid > €60 for, it would be good to know if paying anothe €99,00 actually is final.

@EJ79 – I completely understand your frustration, and I’m really sorry this happened. Unfortunately, this is how Apple’s subscription system works:
• When you start a 7-day trial, it automatically rolls into a monthly subscription unless cancelled manually before the trial ends.
• If you purchase a Lifetime license later, Apple doesn’t automatically cancel any active subscriptions—you need to do that manually through your Apple ID settings.
This limitation is due to how the App Store handles subscriptions and purchases. As developers, we don’t have access or control over users’ subscription statuses in a way that would allow us to cancel them automatically after a Lifetime license purchase.

Just to clarify: the €99.99 Lifetime purchase gives you full access to all current and future features of MetaGrid Pro across both iPad and Mac. There are no further payments required after that.
