Feature Request: Secondary action that resets the state of another button/fader/whatever

Following on from a post i made about getting a latched button to be reset from multiple places, and the incredibly speedy admin response with a potential solution, i’ve found that unfortunately the proposed solution doesn’t work i’m afraid. But it does lead me to think that this could be a great feature…

For instance, in a really simple form, let’s say we have a button. In it’s latched off state it’s dark grey. In latched on it’s bright red. I can toggle it on and off by pressing the button. Now, let’s say there’s lots of these buttons and they all behave independently of each other. Some might be red, some might be dark grey. But now i want a ‘master’ button that turns them all to dark grey; their latched off position. It doesn’t care what colour they are, it just wants them reset to dark grey. Back to their default setting. And there’s another ‘master’ button that sets them to bright red. Again, doesn’t care what colour they are before. So, basically the buttons can work independently on their own, or be goverened by what another button is doing. Unfortunately Groups cannot do this because the group leader also needs to be a latched switch, which also triggers a toggle to the followers.

Hope this makes sense!

Effectively - something else can trigger the latch on or latch off property of a button (and its related macro/key bind/CC message etc), to be more clear.
