Eg - each quantize value has it’s own button (whole note, half, quarter etc)
Is it possible for the last selected button to change colour, (red for example) which then reverts back when the next Q value is selected, thus displaying which value is active.
Working in Cubase, although I’d rather keep the action local in Metagrid and not set up midi remote stuff if at all possible. They tend to make more issues crop up in my experience

Yes. Just set up some Latching Switches and assign the same ‘Switch Group’ number to all buttons. Make the On state red and the Off state another colour.
Personally, I like to use a bright border colour and a slightly brighter text or icon colour instead of a solid colour to highlight the active button . Because the solid colour approach can interfere with the icon or text visibility.
