It would be amazingly awesome to be able to set a default value for a fader so that:\
- It would always start at that value when opening the grid
- This would allow faders to show what the default positions of corresponding VI faders are (ie: mic positions)
- When double-tapped at the top of the fader, the fader would return to it’s default position
- There are so many uses for this
Thanks!
MetaGrid Pro 1.7.x release cycle will bring some good changes to the faders.
Regarding 1.
If the faders are bi-directional communication enabled, then they should start with the value corresponding to the assigned controller.
But yes, the default value plus the double tap is coming in the improved faders.

love that default value and double tap are coming.
Mainly looking for this because (to my knowledge) there’s no way to send CC data back to MGP from a VI track in Cubase.
If someone has figured out a way to get bi-directional CC info from a VI track in Cubase (that doesn’t involve creating a secondary MIDI track), please let me know
Have been asking Steinberg for MIDI sends on VI tracks for YEARS, but still nothing.
Currently you can use snapshots to snap faders to saved values - but they take the grid space - but perhaps that the option in your case
I’ll wait for default fader positions.
It’s a lot about visually being able to see at a glance when I click on a VI, where are the faders sit without having to open up the interface.
snapshots wouldn’t help with that.
Thanks!
