Dynamic Focus Tracking in Cubase brings up wrong grid

Hi folks. I’m having an issue with MGP 1.6.7 and Cubase 14 on my Mac. I have several grids that use Dynamic Focus Tracking to be brought up when I’m on specific windows in Cubase. Lately, the behavior is a little erratic, often I’ll find a grid for one window being brought up when I’m in a different spot on Cubase. For example, I’ll be in the Project window and Metagrid is displaying the Markers grid. Other times it’ll work normally and everything’s responding as it should. Everything seems to be set correctly in the Grid Editor for the specific grids, Enable Dynamic Focus Tracking is checked, and the window title is there (partially at least, after the hyphen it shows the individual project title). Any suggestions?

Thanks.

DFT functionality is based on the window title sent by the OS. Is there any regularity or repro steps that are consistent?

Not that I’ve noticed. The Markers grid seems to be the most common one that comes up, but there are also others. As a test, I’ve just disabled DFT on the Markers window, and I’ll see if it still is an issue.

OK, we will be investigating this and the next version of MetaServer will include dedicated logging for this parameter that will enable us to get more data on this.
