Yes, this is still planned! Multi-computer support is one of the features coming in MetaGrid Pro 2, allowing one iPad to connect to and control up to four computers running Windows or macOS at the same time.
Each computer will need the new MetaServer, as the existing MetaServer versions will not be compatible with Pro 2.
