I have always used dropbox to save my MGP ipad backups.
Now that I’m also trying to integrate the desktop app into my workflow I wanted to restore the desktop app by loading in my current iPad setup.
The desktop app only allows restore from iCloud drive or Shared.
So, I first went to my iPad and backed-up my setup to iCloud. I gave the file a unique name. I then went to restore this file within the desktop app, and the unique name I created was not there. The file listed was simply “MGP1”.
Is there a way for the iCloud Drive backups to retain the actual name provided when backing up? I know I can also have it add the date and that part did carry over, but each backup is simply “MGP1”…multiple files on iCloud Drive all with the exact same name.
