I know we have discussed these three subjects a few times, but could you provide an update on the current timelines for each, please? I have been holding off on using other tools since they were included in the development timeline.

Thank you, that is super helpful news on OSC and AppleScript. Very exciting.
As for JavaScript, our goal is to minimize Soundflow’s use as much as possible, as it merely leverages the Accessibility API of macOS to simulate user interactions and then hides those functions in an application layer. It would be convenient to bypass SoundFlow entirely and accomplish a large amount of its functionality in a more straightforward way, ie, directly, at a significantly reduced cost. The ability to communicate with this layer would be most beneficial to advanced users who wish to delve deeper into application management and configuration.
I know it’s slightly off the timeline, but reducing the number of applications is most beneficial.
Secondly, the GUI interface of Soundflow is so horrendously bad that it is frustrating to use, Metagrid of course is currently the gold standard.

I’m curious about this as well now that 1.7 is out. I want to control VEPro which has OSC support but want to keep it all in the metagrid ecosystem if I can.
Its been a year or so since this was posted, but is OSC or native applescript still on the roadmap, I have to admit that I am being pulled to using the awful stream deck as a trigger as it ties in so easily with soundflow, and I am only using soundflow because of its native applescript and api on the object layer of OSX, etc.
So I really trying to stay with Metagrid as it is a superior interface but it is lagging in under the hood functionality.
Currently I am using a lot of standard keyboard and menu shortcuts but as AI sofware tools are becoming easier more and more are applescript scripting/automation in soundflow being called from midi note on from Metagrid, I would love to eliminate all that midi stuff as it is not super tight and sometimes does not connect, also OSC would be huge for all the other obvious reasons
So, what is your current thinking ?

Thank you for checking in, and apologies that these integrations have taken longer than originally anticipated.
Over the past releases, a great deal of development effort had to be directed toward urgent technical debt, particularly connectivity reliability and MetaServer for Windows. This work was absolutely necessary to create a stable foundation for future development.
For MetaGrid Pro 1.8, we have created a streamlined and highly efficient integration engine designed to let us build and ship deep integrations much faster. The first integration using this new architecture will be an extensive OBS Studio integration in 1.8, but the same engine will support additional targets—including OSC.
OSC is currently planned for the MetaGrid Pro 1.8.x release cycle. We will share more precise details as its scope and release placement are confirmed.
