Some of you have asked about additional MIDI ports. Let’s talk about how many, what are the scenarios for these ports and how to name them.
At least 8, maybe 16. I would be using these for MIDI Remotes to accompany special use cases - to be able to use lots of specific custom macros and logical presets for specific purposes. I’d like to be able to dedicate one to my visibility grid, which makes organizing a massive template effortless.
It would help with organisation. Because we can then split our potentially thousands of commands into separate groups. This, unfortunately, is what my MGP MIDI Remote looks like in Cubase so far due to there only being one port.
And it gets extremely laggy to add new items because they used Java Script IIRC. Also, the ability to duplicate a large number of buttons/faders without the need to assign different CC’s and MIDI channels to them all.
