Same here in Windows 11. Updated yesterday, and the .exe file kept disappearing after zip extraction. Finally disabled real-time virus protection and excluded the parent folder from scanning.
It is a false flag - Defender does it for many WiFi/USB enabled app. The file is clean - no viruses - always checking with various scanners before releasing.
Feedback: It took me a lot of time and effort to find out why Metaserver can’t be started on my WIN10 system, that Defender is the reason and how to counter it. The problem should be better communicated for people who are not so Windows-fit like me, e.g. in the troubleshooting chapter of the User Guide
