Hi, I am still on 1.6.1 with all my ipads, because with an earlier update I ran into huge stability issues. I will eventually try to upgrade, but atm I am in a huge project and cannot afford to spend any time with stuff not working. Now one of my Ipads auto-upgraded to 1.6.9. I cannot connect it to the old Measerver version I am running and in offline mode it immediately crashes as soon as I try to open the menu. That is the same issue I had on my last try to upgrade. Anyways, is there a way to revert the upgrade back to 1.6.1? I really need the ipad and I cannot deal with any upgrade hassle right now…
Thank you
Have you backed up your iPad recently? Because restoring it may fix the issue.
The only way to revert to previous versions is from the iPad backup - App Store doesn’t allow to revert to earlier app builds.
Whenever a new version of Metagrid came up I was used to backup the app file wit iMazing, a Mac app that can do backups and other operations on connected iOS devices. This means that I have all old Metagrid App just In case I need to roll back to an old version. The problem is that since metagrid 1.6.8 this is no longer working, I get an error if I try to download the app. I don’t know what the problem is and I’m able to download other app I have bought from the App Store but not the latest MetaGrid versions. Any clue on whats is changed? In the meantime I’ve switched off Automatic updates on my main iPad since I have no more a way to get back to an older version if needed
Thanks! That worked to make Metagrid revert to the old version. However, if ask it to restore from backup, it only shows a blank screen. But I did make backups. Any idea what the problem could be?
EDIT: Now it works!
