Trigger a macro automatically from grid change - Cubase

Hi all,

Need a bit of help figuring something out. I have grids set up to follow the track selection using the dynamic focus tracking from Cubase - these are articulation pages to match up with orchestral VSTs. So far so good.

What i’d like, is every time the grid switches, id like a macro to fire off. This is because I have specific visibility configuration presets related to each orch section - so in theory, every time the dynamic focus tracking changes to the ‘Strings’ grid or woodwinds grid, that would fire off the specific cubase preset for vis config 1/2/3 etc at the same time.

Can’t seem to figure out a way to do that, so would appreciate any help in trying to figure it out.

Thanks!

That’s a scenario we have never thought about :-). And quite useful one it seems. I have added this to feature requests - we will try to implement this in 1.7 - basically each grid will have a macro available that could be triggered when this grid appear - that’s doable and makes sense.

Awesome, that’s such great news. Will really help moving around cubase be a lot more fluid and interactive. Less mouse clicks is always better in my book

Thanks for being so open to requests as well, it’s really great. Looking forward to seeing what the team can come up with :+1:
