I have an app (Synthesizer V) that also works as a plugin in Cubase. It’s not the only one. Ive started making a grid within the cubase Profile, but I also use these apps on their own outside Cubase. Ideally I’d have a grid that is in more than one profile, and is genuinely shared, not copied. Having set up a profile for Synth V, I figured I could just put the existing grid into it, but it seem alike I need to make a copy, via export import etc. Am I missing a function somewhere?
I think what you are referring to is called a “Common Grid” in Metagrid.
I have a Grid that I use when interacting with Digital Performer and also Vienna Ensemble Pro.
I need the Grid to be identical when either app is the focus.
And if I edit that grid, I want those changes to be reflected in the grid when I’m using Digital Performer or Vienna Ensemble Pro.
If that kind of behavior is what you are referring to, then you need to place the grid you are creating in the “Common Grid” profile section. The grid then will have a [C] in the color orange added on to the grid name. You would then select that version, with the letter [C] of the grid and make it the default grid for the scene for the “Desktop” profile or whatever other profiles you want for when another app is the focus. Then, as I described, if you edit that grid, no matter which scene you are in, the changes are reflected everywhere because you are actually using the one single grid and not copies of it. I hope that makes sense.
Thats great thank you.
