On my Mac the “Selected Channel” MIDI Remote script disappears from Cubase’s MIDI Remote Manager every time the scripts are reloaded. I have to add the surface by hand each time.
Cause: the detection unit at the end of the script asks for exact port names:
.expectInputNameEquals('Metasystem - Cubase Sync')
.expectOutputNameEquals('Metasystem - Cubase Sync')
On macOS the ports created by MetaServer are named “Metasystem - Cubase Sync - In” and “Metasystem - Cubase Sync - Out”, so the exact match never succeeds.
Replacing the two lines with the following fixed it for me, and the script is now detected automatically:
.expectInputNameContains(INPUT_PORT_NAME + ' - In')
.expectOutputNameContains(INPUT_PORT_NAME + ' - Out')
The “Commands” script already uses expectInputNameContains and works fine. Could this be corrected in the next release, so that an update does not overwrite my fix?
(script v1.1.2, MetaServer 6.1.5, Cubase 15)
