Migrating data if you haven't used your iPad for awhile while?

I use MG pro with three iPads if I don’t use one or any of them for awhile, I get this really long migrating data screen, my main concern is what would happen if I wasn’t connected to the Internet where I was working or working remotely somewhere. I obviously haven’t changed anything. I’ve just not opened meta grid on the iPad for a while maybe a week

.

Migration happens between major version releases (data model changes) - it is not related with internet connection - it is a local database structure reorganization.

A few months ago I reported a bug about “Migrating data” which happened every now and then, randomly, not only after a release. For instance, it happened twice this week in a row, out of the blue, without having updated anything.

In fact I did not update Metagrid since December, since everytime I do, I got problems and it ruins my session. But still, I got the “migrating data” a lot out of nowhere.

Is this having been fixed since December? If so, I might change my mind about updating.

Thanks.

I am also having this not linked at all to any update updates

I even can´t open it anymore, starts migrating, but ends up in home screen. Any way to fix it? I haven´t used it for long time, if that´s the case as someone mentioned

We will reinvestigate the migration loader for MGP 1.6.9 release.

@Jari Please delete the app, reinstall it and restore your MGP content from the backup.

Hi, is the migration loader bug fixed in the 1.6.9 release?

Thanks!

We have optimized this - it may happen that you will see “Optimizing data…” spinner from time to time.
