MetaServer Windows 6.0.2 is now available.

What’s New in MetaServer 6.0.2

  • Better MIDI fallback for older Windows 10 / Windows 11 systems that do not support Windows MIDI Services. MetaServer now automatically keeps those systems on the classic WinMM + LoopMIDI path.

  • LoopMIDI detection is less fussy. Custom-named LoopMIDI ports are now accepted, so MetaServer should no longer report that no LoopMIDI ports exist just because the port name does not include “loopMIDI”.

  • More reliable iPad reconnects. MetaServer now handles newer iPad heartbeat probes, UDP source-port changes, and reconnect probes without accidentally promoting a half-connected client.

  • Improved MIDI diagnostics. Support logs now include the actual WinMM input/output port names seen by MetaServer.

  • Safer reconnect behavior. Bare reconnect packets and clock packets no longer bypass the full ConnectRequest accept path.

  • UDP send failures are now logged more clearly, making network troubleshooting easier.

After downloading Metaserver win 6.0.2 and installing, the MS app still shows 6.0.0 build 6002.

Can you try again - I have checked the server and the correct file is there and it downloads ok - let me know.
