This hot fix focuses on connectivity stability, USB recovery, and Mac system-state handling. It is recommended for all MetaGrid Pro users on macOS, especially if you use USB, multiple iPads, or Logic Pro.
What’s improved
More reliable reconnects - MetaServer now recovers faster from heartbeat silence, temporary host load, and USB handshakes that stall before the iPad finishes connecting.
Improved USB discovery - USB hosts should reappear more consistently after iPad restart, app restart, Mac wake, or manual disconnect/reconnect.
Mac screen saver, display sleep, and Lock Screen awareness - connected iPads now receive the correct Mac state immediately while the Mac stays awake and the connection remains active.
Better behavior under heavy host load - heartbeat recovery is more tolerant of temporary scheduling stalls, including demanding Logic Pro workflows such as offline bounce.
Paced app-state sync - reconnect-heavy sessions now avoid flooding USB/WiFi immediately after connect, and repetitive sync-load warnings are summarized more clearly in logs.
Fixed
Fixed USB reconnect edge cases with multiple iPads, including cases where one iPad connected correctly while another did not show USB in the host list.
Fixed stale PeerTalk USB handshake states where MetaServer had a cable-level channel open but the iPad never completed the app-level ConnectRequest.
Reduced MetaServer CPU spikes in Logic Pro by coalescing rapid accessibility focus updates and reducing noisy focus logging.
Tightened reconnect packet handling so probe/recovery/liveness packets cannot accidentally promote a client to connected state.

You can install the update from MetaServer’s built-in updater.
I am having similar problems. First of all, The link provided in test flight doesn’t work. It goes to a “oops page not found”. When I try to download it from the built-in updater in Meta server, I have two problems - whether I use the older beta version that I had or whether I open the new non-beta version, both of them, when selecting update now, give me a message that says “update error! An error occurred in retrieving update information please try again later”. Please point me to the location where I can download the latest beta mac metaserver that does not just say “you can update from metaserver”. thanks
I have removed the outdated beta download links because there are currently no active beta builds. The production versions are the latest available builds.

I know about the link for the beta version but I cannot access it. It says it doesn’t exist or is private. I have emailed przemek asking why I do not have access to the beta forum anymore but he doesn’t reply to any of my emails. In the meantime, someone has sent me the latest beta of MGP and metaserver
