MetaServer Win 6.0.1 Beta 1 - hot fix

Dear MetaGrid Pro Windows users

First of all, thank you for all the reports and logs. We have worked throughout the day to fix the connectivity issues and crashes that were not detected during our internal / beta tests - Windows USB connectivity with iPads is, how to put it mildly, lacking by design. Anyway, we hope that this series of fixes will enable you to ensure stable connection. Tomorrow we will release Metagrid Pro 1.7.1 Hot Fix as well.

If you are experiencing connectivity issues on Windows, download this and let us know if it works as expected.

Thanks for your help and patience!

OK @HomeStudio87 - I need logs - MetaServer and your iPads. Send them at help@metagrid.app.

Beta 2 should solve your issues.

Goooood! That made our day here. It seems that some older iPads have some quirks for USB broadcasts that caused some states not covered by the new Windows server.

For now I’m bad with the new WIN MIDI…

Cannot do the ā€œcmdā€ : ā€˜winget install Microsoft.WindowsMIDIServicesSDK’

that answer me that he canot fint winget…

Opening Dropbox it says ā€œthis item was deleted.ā€

What now? On day 1 of the update I could at least use 1.7.0…forget the Cubase VST buttons feature. But today I can’t even use Metagrid, and all the different attmpts to get connectivity are in vain.

Prior to 1.7.0, and after opening Device Manager, going to Apple Mobile Device USB Compsite Device, disabling, then enabling, I could get connectivity. The radar thing would happen, it would discover 1 device found, I press my computer name and everything was good. I realize I should not have to go to Device Manager and do this, however no one has replied to my multiple support requests.

Then today, I can’t even use Metagrid. In Services it does show Apple Mobile device Service running automatic and bonjour service running automatic.

Yesterday I attempted to explain the issue and very clearly wrote I’m on Windows 10, yet your solution seems to only be for Windows 11. Again, I’m on Windows 10. Metaserver is 6.01 beta 2 . Here is the Metaserver. Yes I have unplugged the usb plug on the computer side numerous times with no change. What now?

I have also sent log files from Metaserver today. I’m not sure what else there is to try?
