Metagrid "Couldn't reach Cubase" when adding plugin

Hi folks. I’m starting to put some of the new features to use, and am having some issues with the (super-sweet) add plugin feature in Cubase. Sometimes it works, but often I’m getting a message “Couldn’t reach Cubase - xx_whatever_plugin_xx not added”. This is in Cubase 15.0.30 on a Mac. The times that I have gotten it to work have been great, and I don’t know what’s different now, but it’s more miss than hit. Any ideas?

Thanks.

A little more information, maybe a clue. I noticed today that if I try adding a plugin when first opening a Cubase project, and before I reload the MIDI Remote Commands (as I talk about in this thread: Commands MIDI Remote greyed out in Cubase ), it works, however if I try it again right after reloading, it doesn’t. Don’t know if that gives any indication, but it seems like something.

We would need logs for that - the plugin data is fed from Selected Channel MIDI Remote - and the plugin list is auto updated on each Cubase / MIDI Remote start and on each refresh. So can you send us the MetaServer / MetaGrid Pro logs after this issue appears again?
