Installed Applications Not Showing Up In "Activate Applications" List

1. Summary/Title

When I click on “Activate Application” as a Macro some applications are not showing up in the list.

2. Steps to Reproduce

  • Step 1: Select “Activate Application” as a macro.
  • Step 2: Scroll through the list to find a specific application (my example is EZ Keys).

3. Expected Result

I would expect to see the application EZ Keys and some others in the list of available applications.

4. Actual Result

The application EZ Keys, amongst some others, does not appear in the list.

5. Screenshots or Video (if applicable)

N/A

6. Device Information

  • Operating System (OS version): MacOS 13.7.1
  • MetaGrid Pro version: Latest
  • Device Model (e.g., iPad, Mac): iPad
  • Affected software version (e.g., Cubase 14):

7. Additional Notes

All my applications are installed in the default Applications folder. I have other applications like Neural DSP plugins that are in sub folders such as Applications/Neural DSP and those show up correctly.

Experiencing the same issue on Windows 11. There needs to be a way to add applications somehow. Many that I need to show up do not.

OK, we have investigated this and have found the root cause for Mac - some subdirectories were skipped during app scanning. This will be fix in the next MetaServer release. We will be investigating this for Win during this week as well.

Should have included that I’m on Windows 11.
