Yeah - that would be a killer setup. But on the other hand, it is a pitty that it is Win only as far as the touch support is concerned.
is there a mac application where I can use the mouse to click key commands on a detachable/moveable window? That would be neat in addition to the ipad stuff.
Yes, you can download MetaGrid Pro for Mac on the App Store and use it to create your controllers. And also to use it to control things on Mac (with limitations).
@CubaseComposer These screens will work with MetaGrid Pro on Mac - however, there is a huge limitation - single touch only - no multiple faders at once, no multi-finger gesture support. That’s macOS limitation.
All the more reason for a Windows port

Crowdfund the Windows version and the community will help make it known… the amount of opportunity out there… Apple is not it…
- Video game industry is nearly entirely on PCs.
- Most audio/music people are on PCs (top pros/studios are on mac)
- A lot of the film and graphic industry has gone PC, Adobe Resolve, etc
1000 people x $50 = $50,000… that’s probably only, generously, half of the cost to port to PC if not only a quarter - but it’s enough to get things in motion.
Sell MetaGrid mugs, t-shirts, etc
I’d probably pay like $300 for a fully functional native Windows version, tbh.

Likewise.
The crowdfund could have tiers with different rewards
I put this together on my 18 inch touch screen monitor using Open Stage Control. It’s no Metagrid, but it’s flexible and pretty. Not sure if I will ever fully replace Metagrid. But the fact that I can use it on any screen that I want, it runs natively and is reliable (doesn’t rely on an iPad connection), is definitely working in its favor.
