I can confirm that MetaGrid Apple Menu Script Commands no longer work in Dorico 6

MetaGrid Apple Menu Script Commands that previously worked in Dorico Pro 5 no longer work in Dorico 6. I also tried changing the target app on the button from Desktop to Dorico.

Also, sometimes Metaserver 5.2.2 spontaneously quits after iPad put on standby.

Hi @Gregg - since MacOS sees Dorico 5 and Dorico 6 as different apps you need to reassign the menu commands. Try to delete the macro and add the menu command action again. Let me know.

Tried with brand new macro in MetaGrid. Same issue. No response from Dorico. Note: Keyboard shortcut macros still work from MetaGrid. Unfortunately Dorico does not allow assignment of keystroke triggers to user scripts. Hence the need to call the scripts from the Script menu.

Gregg – can you please check if menu commands work in other applications on your setup?

Yes. I made a macro with menu command Firefox Help->Get Help and it works.

Funny thing. The Dorico Script macro works from a button on the Desktop “My Grid”, but not on the Dorico Grid.

OK, so we are on the track - can you please check what is the target application section for the buttons in the Edit Pane in MGP?

I have also tried switching target to Desktop. Does not work in Dorico 6.
Please note: I have both Dorico 5 and Dorico 6 apps on my Mac.
I tried same scenario with Dorico 5, and the button works w Desktop target.

I am going to try deleting the IOS app and reinstalling

If I switch scenes from Dorico Grid to My Grid For Dorico, which looks like a stack icon on the left, I can get the Rotate 1 Back Macro button to work. It’s a 2 step workaround for now. Would be nice if I could use it on Dorico Grid like it was on Dorico 5.

Update:
I found that if I copy a working macro from another grid and paste it into Dorico Grid, it suddenly works. So it looks like I have to develop off grid and paste back into the Dorico Grid. Go figure.

@gregg - can you just clear the macro with the Clear button? It seems that some references are kept for the old Dorico version. Let me know if Clear sorts this out.

Clear method does not work. Something must be cached in the Dorico Grid. I now have a workaround with off grid dev copy/paste. If you get another fix in, please let me know. Thanks for your help.
