I would like to request that along with assigning keyboard shortcuts to scene switch on Metaserver, it would also be great to assign a key command to lock the current grid so that it doesn’t go anywhere.
It would be helpful too to have Lock be a function/ macro within Metagrid itself, so that I can create this macro: Open selected grid > Lock Grid.
It could also be nice to have an option that a grid is always locked. Meaning if “Always Locked” is toggled on Grid 2, and I switch from Grid 1 to Grid 2, I can’t switch back unless I physically unlock Grid 2.
Why? With Cubase, the window that is focused is sometimes unclear. If I have keyswitches that come up every time I open a plugin window via Dynamic Focus Tracking, I may unknowingly click away from the plugin window, losing my focus and the grid I wanted to stay opened. But because it’s a keyswitch grid, I want it to be exempt from automatically switching back to my main grid every time it’s clicked away from. I know that track selection is coming in a later version, but I think I would still find plenty of use cases for this.
