[Beta Verification] XY Controller uses default names when locked

Hi there,

Just a strange behaviour on my XY Controller that I still find a bit weird:

As I “lock” a specific controller, the controller’s names are set by default (Mod, Breath, Vol, Pan,…) instead of the ones I actually encoded (for instance, in the jointed pic: CC54, CC56,..).

Can you eventually fix this bug ? Thanx for your hard work !

Phil

Thanks for reporting this. The cause has been confirmed in the XY Controller’s locked display state.

When an axis is unlocked, MetaGrid Pro displays the custom controller names saved in the object. When an axis is locked, the current display path incorrectly substitutes the default labels such as Mod, Breath, Vol, and Pan.

Your saved custom names are not being overwritten; the locked-state view is displaying the wrong label source.

The correction is now included in the MetaGrid Pro 1.7.4 hotfix scope.

Status update: this correction has been implemented and is currently included in the MetaGrid Pro 1.7.4 Hot Fix beta.

This post is primarily an informational update for everyone following this issue. If you are already a member of the beta program, you are welcome to verify the correction and report the result here. If you are not a beta tester, no action is required—the correction is planned for the upcoming production hotfix.

The beta downloads and TestFlight build are available only to authorized beta testers, so the linked beta resources may show “Access denied” for other forum members.

Beta testers can retest custom X and Y names with each axis locked and unlocked, including saving and reopening the grid. The matching MetaServer beta builds are available at https://forum.metagrid.app/t/latest-metaserver-beta-builds.
