Accessing a stock Cubase midi LE function in MG

HI, there is a stock midi LE function in Cubase (‘select every other note’) but it is not in the selections inside MG app. Aside from using a key command, or creating a one line macro, how would I get to access this function? I guess, in general, how would I access a stock midi LE function inside of MG if it does not show up in MG already?

  1. Add a generic remote device and define the command there - set the MIDI port to Metasystem - MIDI and assign some MIDI trigger. Then create a button in MGP with the corresponding MIDI action.

  2. You can use our Generic Remote macro device and assign it there - read the DAW and MIDI Setup Guide.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks.

For anyone else wondering, I used the Macro (not a Cubase macro) in the generic remote. I assigned macro 4 to the LE command and then made a button in MG assigned to Macro4. Any LE command in cubase can be set up this way.

I was able to do it, thanks. I put up an explanation for anyone else looking.

Yeah, that’s the way it should be done. You can also do this in the MIDI Remote as well - but that is not that straightforward.

Will there be an update at some point for midi remote as the generic will be phased out. I have a feeling the next version of Cubase might no longer support generic!! (there was midi remote but there was a problem with it I think)

Thanks
