I’m now using the upgrade to MGP 1.72 and Metaserver 6.02 on Win11 and cubase 15. I’m using the new native ports and have removed LoopMidi. Everything appears to work as expected, but ther was an upgrade glitch with MIDI faders.
I have 3 screens with up to 12 MIDI faders. For some reason after the upgrades, they weren’t working at all, even though an x-y control was working fine. When I dug further into the edit screen, I discovered that the Macro box on the edit screen was blank, which explained why no data was being sent. I tried simply adding a MIDI continuous controller from the edit screen and that worked, but the default of cc0 wouldn’t allow any changes, and somtimes just crashed MGP. Ultimately I found that I could delete an entire fader, create a new one that worked, then copy and paste that working fader to every other fader slot. Of course, that left the job of editing the cc numbers (and colors) on all of the copied faders, but it did resolve the problem, though a bit tedious. Just thought I’d let yo know in case there is a simple fix for the future.
