In the AI Builder, if you’re using a Bluetooth Keyboard with your iPad, the “Next” bar in the builder window may disappear once you start typing in anything. To fix this, you have to disable “Shortcuts” and “Predictive Text” in your iPad Keyboard settings. Otherwise, the action bar associated with those features obscures the “Next” button.
Thanks for the report. We have confirmed this issue and added it to the MetaGrid Pro 1.7.4 hotfix scope.
The fix will ensure that the AI Builder’s navigation controls remain visible when a Bluetooth keyboard and the iPadOS predictive-text or shortcuts bar are active. I will update this thread when the fix is available for verification.
Status update: this correction has been implemented and is currently included in the MetaGrid Pro 1.7.4 Hot Fix beta.
This post is primarily an informational update for everyone following this issue. If you are already a member of the beta program, you are welcome to verify the correction and report the result here. If you are not a beta tester, no action is required—the correction is planned for the upcoming production hotfix.
The beta downloads and TestFlight build are available only to authorized beta testers, so the linked beta resources may show “Access denied” for other forum members.
Beta testers can retest with the hardware keyboard connected in portrait and landscape orientations, including with the predictive-text or shortcuts bar visible. Confirm that the AI Builder navigation controls remain accessible. The matching MetaServer beta builds are available at https://forum.metagrid.app/t/latest-metaserver-beta-builds.
