  • macOS Universal Commands - more than 80 built-in macOS commands for Mission Control, Spaces, window tiling, screenshots, brightness, volume, media keys, audio output switching, Dark Mode, Lock Screen, and more.

  • 8 New Button Style Presets - Classic, System, Dracula, Studio, Technical, Vivid, Cyber, and Mono, with curated palettes and variants.

IMPROVED

  • New Connection Engine - discovery, host picking, USB/Wi-Fi selection, reconnect, and radar feedback were reworked for a clearer and more stable connection experience.

  • Lower Wi-Fi Latency - Wi-Fi networking now uses Apple’s SwiftNIO stack, reducing latency and jitter for button presses and MIDI commands.

  • Rock-Solid Connection Through App Switches - USB and Wi-Fi sessions stay alive through short app switches instead of forcing an immediate reconnect.

  • AI Builder gained style transfer, themes, palettes, ideas, recent prompts, stronger DAW command priority, Windows/disconnected-mode awareness, and full help documentation.

  • Logging was hardened for shipping builds, with cleaner launch log sessions and less noisy packet-level output.

  • Fixed upgrades from older versions by hardening Core Data migration and legacy model handling.

  • Fixed connection-screen channel identity issues where USB and Wi-Fi candidates could be mixed up.

  • Fixed drag/drop and resize edge cases in the Grid Editor, including iOS 26 touch prediction differences and resize gestures ending outside the grid.

  • Fixed transparent text backgrounds being lost when installing grids.

  • Fixed paste-into-empty cases that could leave uneditable gaps in UniGrid layouts.

  • Fixed Grid Editor dismissal after choosing a grid background image.

FIXED

  • Random USB Crash 30-45 Seconds After Launch - fixed a regression where iPads using USB could crash silently shortly after launch, especially after Mac sleep/wake or short USB transport hiccups.

  • Launch Crash When Profile Library Loads Slowly - fixed a crash where the loading spinner appeared correctly, then the app died just before the dashboard opened on devices with slower profile/grid loading.

  • USB Not Coming Back After Returning From Background - fixed an issue where the USB cable stayed visible in Finder, but MetaGrid Pro could no longer see the USB transport until the app was relaunched.

  • Fader MIDI Macros Export Correctly - fixed exported faders reimporting with broken MIDI macros because the XML msgType attribute was written empty instead of using the stored MIDI message type.

IMPROVED

  • Dedicated Mac Screen Saver, Lock, and Sleep Screens - MetaGrid Pro now shows clean full-screen system-state screens instead of dimming the dashboard underneath.

  • Cleaner Screen Saver Mode - screen saver state is now logo-only, with no cards, labels, or dashboard underneath. Tapping can wake the Mac display, and a second tap lets you leave the screen if macOS is still waiting at the password screen.

  • Gentler Mac Sleep Handling - when the Mac is truly asleep, MetaGrid Pro stays dark and passive. A small device-power hint appears briefly and can be shown again with a tap.

  • Smarter USB Recovery - USB reconnect is more resilient after Mac sleep/wake, app backgrounding, cable hiccups, and reconnect probes.

  • USB diagnostic logs now identify sent packets by packet id, packet name, payload length, and PeerTalk tag.

FIXED

  • Fixed wake recovery flashing the dashboard before the Mac was actually active and usable.

  • Fixed Lock Screen taps sending a wake command that could make the Mac display go black.

  • Fixed additional USB reconnect and app-data recovery crash paths, including cache file I/O races.

  • Fixed GridVista receipt relay so entitlement state waits for an active MetaServer connection.

  • Fixed incorrect colour indicators in the Button Editor for shadow and text-background settings.

  • Fixed Catalyst host-unavailable behavior so local same-Mac sessions stay quiet, while remote Mac sessions still show the correct Mac state screens.

Recommended companion update: MetaServer Mac 6.1.2 or later, MetaServer Win 6.0.2 or later.

  • Clearer first-time connection setup and guidance when no computer is found.
  • Support sharing now creates a diagnostic ZIP package containing connection information, recent session history, device details, and logs when available.
  • Settings now displays the recommended minimum MetaServer versions for Mac and Windows, and discovered computers can be marked when their MetaServer version is outdated.
  • Cubase and Nuendo Generic Remote macro names can be refreshed directly from the custom MIDI action selector.
  • Logic Pro Dynamic Focus Tracking follows scene and area changes more reliably.
  • USB discovery and recovery are more targeted, and display-sleep recovery provides a second-tap escape after sending a wake-display request.
  • Localized Cubase empty-slot labels are recognized more reliably on non-English installations.

FIXED

  • Custom color palettes export correctly and retain their colors through import and backup restoration.
  • Fixed an iCloud export crash affecting some backup and export workflows.
  • Paste Style no longer replaces switch macros unless Macro Only is selected.
  • Macro reordering works reliably in longer macro menus and keeps the correct macro selected.
  • Snapshot Pads now work in smaller horizontal and vertical grid slots.
  • XY Controller count editing no longer applies an off-by-one change.
  • Text macro editing keeps the active editor visible above the keyboard.
  • Local application selectors and icon browsers refresh when MetaServer sends an updated application list.
  • Additional stability fixes across export, app-specific action selectors, MetaStore, and imported content.
