I was able to get MG server to see my MG using USB. I even got the plugins to show. But about 5 minutes later I was disconnected and could not reconnect using USB. I had to go back to wifi. That also caused the plugin page to not function well. When placing an FX on a track, if you switch tracks, and try to insert an FX, it still stays on the original track. So, I am on track A, press an FX, then go to track B, it still says track A. However, weird behavior, when I switch folders and pick track C inside another folder, it will then update. It seems like there is poor communication back from Cubase to MG, probably related to wifi having latency. I’d like to stay on USB, but I can’t have it disconnect frequently. And then I have a problem reconnecting to USB anyway. FYI Windows did an upgrade today. ---

On a reboot I connected through USB and got this error. It crashed MG server. Hey Brett, it seems like you have been having many random issues in MG, have you tried to uninstall it completely from the iPad then reinstall? some programmers brag about it (referring to OS and drivers programmers) but a lot of times when we update the iOS after previous software installations it might introduce glitches. Just talking from my personal experience. ---

Thanks, I’ll give that a try. I have it all working now, except for the stable USB connection, which causes the plugin feature to be unstable. ---

I have not had issues recently with USB, it is now working fine now. Thanks for asking. Not sure what did it, there were some updates maybe. ---

HI, trouble again today. Started it all up okay, and then got disconnected quickly and this error popped up. I then tried to restart but then had midi server issues. Had to force stop midi services, re start, and restart MG server, and then it all connected properly again. Thanks for checking back. We still do not have enough current evidence to give a responsible ETA. Please send a fresh Connection Monitor support package from the iPad together with MetaServer logs captured immediately after one disconnect on the current MetaGrid Pro and MetaServer versions. Please also note whether the disconnect occurred while using USB only or after Wi-Fi fallback, and whether MetaGrid Pro was in the foreground or had recently returned from another app. We will use that evidence to determine whether this matches an existing connection issue or requires a separate lifecycle record. ---

It’s been stable for a week. I’ll send the report if it happens again, but it seems to be working well!! As a side note, I updated my Asus motherboard firmware and removed some extra drivers (Asus Armory is bloatware)!! Thanks 🙂 ---

Thanks for the update. It’s good to hear that the connection has remained stable for a week. Since the improvement followed the motherboard firmware update and removal of additional ASUS drivers, the exact cause cannot be confirmed from the available evidence. This topic will be marked Resolved and closed for now. If the disconnect happens again, please reopen the issue with a fresh Connection Monitor support package and MetaServer logs captured immediately after the failure. ---
