MetaGrid Pro 1.7.7 and MetaServer Updates Released

MetaGrid Pro 1.7.7 is available on the App Store for iPadOS and Mac Catalyst. It improves connection recovery and sound feedback:

  • Restores the saved MetaServer connection when you return to the app after the previous session has expired, keeping your saved USB preference when the same server is available over USB and Wi-Fi.
  • Makes sound feedback more responsive while using fewer initial audio resources. Ordinary feedback sounds no longer lower music playing in other apps.
  • Handles rapid feedback gestures, audio interruptions and output changes more reliably, without replaying stale sounds after a return.

Install the latest companion MetaServer on each computer you use:

  • Mac: MetaServer 6.1.6 (build 4346) ā€” improves USB disconnect and reconnect handling and prevents stale USB streams from causing a crash or prolonged high CPU use. Requires macOS 12 or later.
  • Windows: MetaServer 6.0.5 (build 6016) ā€” updates the Cubase and Nuendo Selected Channel script with bidirectional editor state, and handles inaccessible foreground applications and missing custom-icon folders more safely.

Both MetaServer updates are available through auto-update and the download page. The Windows installer is unsigned. If Windows shows an unknown-publisher warning, verify its SHA-256 before opening it: 7e0fa7e90d6cc5f0f7548835f18fc8151eb103636801426a3cb07209ee8afc62.
