Just recently I discovered that my Cubase mixer window receives additional inputs with my custom macros. For example Macro 006 sets the volume fader of the selected track to the maximum. Or Macro 019 sets the value of the second send of the selected track to the max.
I can unassign bespoke macros in the midi setup but the info would still come through anipulating the mixer properties. I then tried and deleted the generic remote devices 1-3 (which hold the metasystem xmls 1-3). And then it worked. those additional messages didn’t come through anymore.
Then I wanted to start a fresh midisetup but the download button in the metaserver app to download the generic remote device xmls doesn’t work and sadly I don’t have backups of those generic xmls. It only leads you to the how-to page on how to setup up the generic remote stuff. I also tried finding those files manually on the website b but without any success.
So, I’m really curious if it just was a currupted xml or not. But this is where I have to stop because I can’t get those files anywhere.
